Kate Beyda is Executive Vice-President of Physical Production at Warner Bros./New Line Cinema and has been overseeing film production on behalf of the company for the past 12 years.

Kate began her career in the film business in the lower-budget independent world working on such films as “Tapeheads” starring John Cusack and Tim Robbins; and Paul Bartel’s comedy “Scenes From The Class Struggle in Beverly Hills”.  Her first studio film was Taylor Hackford’s “Everybody’s All-American” shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  She worked her way up in the film business as a Production Coordinator and an Assistant to Tom Jacobson, President of Hughes Entertainment, on projects that included “Christmas Vacation” and “Uncle Buck”.

After working as a Sr. Production Coordinator on staff at Disney, Kate returned to the freelance world working as a Production Supervisor and later as a Unit Production Manager and Associate Producer on such films as:  “While You Were Sleeping” (Chicago), “A Civil Action” (Boston), Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Rainmaker” (Memphis, San Francisco) and “Austin Powers in Goldmember”.

Since being on staff at New Line, she has mounted productions in such places as Italy, Morocco, Hungary, Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, New Zealand and Australia.  Her credits as an Executive include “The Wedding Crashers”, “Elf”, “Sex and the City 2”,  “Journey to The Center of the Earth 1&2”, “Valentine’s Day”, “Horrible Bosses 1 & 2”, “The Conjuring”, “Annabelle”, “We’re The Millers” and “The Hobbit” trilogy among others.

Kate is a member of the Director’s Guild of America and the Producer’s Guild of America.
