The LACHSA Foundation supports the fully public, conservatory-style arts education at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Alongside our generous family of donors — including individuals, corporations, and private foundations  — we invest in the exemplary arts education of student artists from across LA County who are born to create and committed to advancing their artistry at LACHSA. What We Do

The LACHSA Foundation exists to champion one of the nation’s most remarkable public arts high schools: the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). For four decades, we’ve been the bridge between what’s possible and what’s achievable, mobilizing a vibrant community of donors, advocates, and partners who believe in the limitless potential of students who are born to create.

Our commitment is not simply one big check every school year. We invest in many ways: capital campaigns, endowments, scholarships, fiscal management, parent volunteerism, partnership development, and many more. We care deeply about LACHSA, and, as its only dedicated charitable funder, we welcome the world to support our mission.

Your donations help make this commitment to excellence possible in a public high school that serves student artists from all over Los Angeles County, living in all socio-economic communities, and representing LA County’s multi-cultural, innovative, and resilient families. With your support, we can continue to celebrate the talented young artists who come to LACHSA to learn together, collaborate together, and fearlessly create together as they discover and share their artistic voices.

About LACHSA

LACHSA offers a specialized program combining college-preparatory academic instruction and conservatory-style training across five arts disciplines: dance, music, theatre, visual arts, and cinematic arts. LACHSA’s student artists work with professional teaching artists to sharpen their critical thinking, strengthen their skills, and develop the confidence to courageously share their art with the world. Founded in 1985, this tuition-free public school is run by the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) in partnership with, and on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA).
