Jamie Bridgers is honored to serve on the LACHSA Foundation Board of Trustees.

Her daughter Phoebe graduated in 2013 from the LACHSA Music Department and soon after, launched herself into a career with success that has exceeded Jamie’s wildest dreams. Her son graduated in 2016 from the Visual Arts Department and attended Carnegie Melon University with a full scholarship. He graduated from CMU in 2020 and has been working in animation and music video production. The LACHSA Community of teachers, parents, and peers not only prepared them both for careers in the arts, but more importantly gave them a love of process and a reverence for diversity. She says the opportunity for her children to attend LACHSA was precious and is often struck by the question, “What would we have done without LACHSA?” She considers LACHSA and what it gave her children “life changing.” She describes them both having left LACHSA with a strong work ethic and the confidence that comes from being in such amazing company.

Jamie graduated from California State University, Chico with a degree in Journalism. She has worked in administration and publicity for regional theater companies such as the Utah Shakespeare Festival and South Coast Repertory. When her children were very little she worked in operations for UC Irvine School of Fine Arts.

She worked for several years in administration at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. In 2018 she started a new career as a realtor. Now, in her current profession, she is grateful that her schedule allows her the freedom and flexibility to focus on giving back to the community that did so much for her family.
