Our Goal is to raise $2.2 million each school year, or $4,000 per student artist!

At LACHSA, student artists are born to create — and every parent plays a part in helping their artistry thrive. When you give to the LACHSA Foundation, you’re fueling the heart of a world-class, conservatory-style education that pairs rigorous academics with professional-level arts training.

We’re thrilled to have you and your student artist in the LACHSA family. Whether you give, volunteer, or advocate, you are part of the reason student artists from across Los Angeles County can dream, create, and inspire.

The Parent Pledge

We ask every LACHSA family to consider contributing $4,000 per school year (or $400 per month for 10 months!) to support LACHSA’s student artist’s experience.

State funding only covers 50% of LACHSA’s arts education budget. Without support from the Foundation and its donors, this public arts high school would not be able to exist — and not be able to provide the exemplary arts education that has impacted generations of LACHSA students.

Your gift helps bridge the $4,000-per-student annual funding gap that public funding doesn’t cover. Together, we can sustain the excellence that makes LACHSA the #1 public high school for the arts in the nation.

Every Family Can Participate

If your family can’t contribute at that level, we understand. LACHSA is, and will always be, a public high school for the arts. But every family can make an impact!

Here are a few meaningful ways you can support LACHSA:

  • Host a mini fundraising campaign on social media or email friends and family with support from Foundation staff
  • Introduce us to businesses or philanthropists who believe in the power of the arts
  • Share your student artist’s story and how LACHSA is helping them grow as both artists and citizens (we love amplifying the voices of LACHSA families!)

Our goal is 100% parent participation.

What Your Gifts Fund

Your donation directly funds the conservatory experience that defines LACHSA:

  • Faculty: Arts Department Chairs, Teaching Artists, and visiting Master Teachers
  • Facilities: Classrooms, performance spaces, security, and campus support
  • Instructional Materials: Design software, instruments, paints, props, costumes, scripts, and more!
  • Productions: Costs for the 40+ annual student performances, concerts, film festivals, and exhibitions

This funding keeps creativity alive in every department: Music, Theatre, Visual Arts, Dance, and Cinematic Arts.

Big dreams inspire bold action. Here’s what our stretch goals are for LACHSA and LACHSA Foundation:

  • A new, state-of-the-art campus with the freedom to grow to serve up to 1,000 student artists through conservatory training in the arts
  • A $40 million endowment to sustain LACHSA’s artistic excellence for the next 40 years -let’s bring LACHSA to a place of abundance
  • A new home for the LACHSA Foundation. We are already in the planning stage with the Entertainment Community Fund’s Hollywood Arts Collective!

Your participation goes beyond giving to be part of something bigger.

Here’s are just a few of the many ways you can support LACHSA Foundation:

  • Donate Today: Any donation helps us achieve our mission. Give monthly, annually, or match your donation with your employer!

  • Attend Student Performances: Every ticket to a LACHSA arts performance or exhibition benefits the arts.

  • Shop LACHSA Merch: The Foundation manages LACHSA’s brand and merchandise — so every order helps you give back!

  • As a LACHSA parent, you are already a part of the LACHSA Parent Association: The Foundation and Parent Association work together on a wide variety of projects to benefit LACHSA. Volunteer and get involved at LACHSA through their activities or volunteer to collect donations from pre-show, intermission, or post-show concessions at school performances or exhibitions.

  • Introduce Us to Foundations, Companies, or Donors: We write and receive grants for LACHSA from local and national philanthropic Foundations. Share your connections!

  • Attend or Participate in an Event: We host galas, donor salons, and other fundraising events to highlight the talent at LACHSA and raise critical funding.

  • SAVE THE DATE: Join us for LACHSApalooza, a benefit concert in celebration of LACHSA’s 40th anniversary, on May 30, 2025, at The Greek Theatre!
